摘　　要：由于日本较早向西方推介了围棋,从而使围棋术语的英译复杂化,给当今的汉英翻译带来了两难的选择。基于围棋英译研究现状以及围棋术语的棋理特征和文化底蕴,围棋术语英译应该注重文化传播性的翻译策略,并以"外尽其形,内显其理"为准则。在追求围棋术语特征的同时,着眼于它所承载的精神文化与器物文化的传承和彰显。Japan have long before translated Weiqi terminologies into English from Japanese.The author argues that different strategies should be adopted in translating Chinese Wieqi terminologies into English,whereby both formal correspondence as well as spiritual similarity should be balanced so as to transmit the cultural connotations contained in these Chinese terminologies.
