摘　　要：本文重点讨论:一,通过天文学界"冥王星"的命名、除名过程,透析翻译界"奈达现象"的盛衰过程,告诉人们:科学知识,只是人类在某个阶段的最新见识,但却不一定是真理;二,借"奈达现象",反思我国目前在引用外国翻译理论研究方面存在的问题(如似"盲人摸象;"呈"理论+翻译"两张皮现象;"有"被国外译论吞食、并吞"之趋向),建议我国翻译学者始终保持清醒的独立学科意识,走向健康发展的道路。This paper first analyzes the development of the ＂Nida Phenomenon＂ in translation,drawing reference from the event of delisting Pluto from the roll of nine planets,a process which indicates that scientific knowledge does not necessarily constitute truth,but only human＇s latest experience.Chinese translation studies community are then urged to rethink the ＂Nida Phenomenon＂ and consider our problematic approaches when dealing with translation theories from the West.The author contends that Chinese translation scholars should remain independent in research,thus setting translation studies in China to the right track.
