摘　　要：本文旨在探讨台湾社区大学的实务运作、特色与挑战，全文主要分为缘起与发展、法制面、实务运作、特色、成效与挑战等四部分。在实务运作的部分，本文就社区大学设立的理念与目标、办理方式、行政组织、课程规划、师资、经费、学员、评鉴等分别进行探讨，最后本文提出社大办学的特色9项，成效8项，以及所面临的挑战与问题共10项，这是有待进一步思考的课题，提供政府及经营者参考，寻求解决，而使社大持续进步与发展。This study was aimed to explore the practice of the community colleges in Taiwan, the characteristics, and challenges. This study was divided into four parts including the background and development, the legislation, the practical operation, the characteristics, the effects, and the challenges. In terms of the practice of the community college, the mission and goal, the recruitment, the administration, the course programming, the faculty, funds, students, and evaluation were discussed respectively. In addition, to promote the continual progress and development of community colleges, 9 characteristics, 8 effects, and 10 challenges were proposed to the government and management sectors for the reference.
