摘　　要：依据认知语言学和"可能世界"模型,将英语时态视为一种时间和心理距离,采用现象学方法对一则具体例证加以分析,以对英语时态一致性的认知机制做出合理的解释。结果显示:语篇现实和心理现实之间的矛盾是造成英语时态不一致的主要原因,只有当语篇现实和心理现实同处于同一时间框架下,才能体现出英语时态的一致性。This paper considers the English tense as a temporal and psychological distance based on cognitive linguistics and the ＂possible worlds＂ model and analyzes a specific example by using phenomenological methods in order to give a reasonable explanation for the English tense consistency.The result shows that the contradiction between textual reality and psychological reality mainly contributes to the inconsistency of English tense.The consistency of English tense can be embodied only when the discourse reality and psychological reality are under the same conceptual frame.
