摘 要:文章论述了格式塔意象图式原理在翻译中的应用。根据这一原理,客体具有其相对独立的整体性,并且,整体大于部分之和;而人对客体的认识具有完形趋向性,即倾向于首先将它作为一个整体来看待。译者首先在脑海中形成关于原文文本整体的格式塔意象图式(形成该图式也就实现了原文文本定向性对译者的约束),然后再进行翻译,从而既遵守了原文文本的定向性,又实现了灵活翻译及创造性翻译,成功实现译文应执行的功能。This paper discusses the application of Image Gestalt Theory in translation. According to this theory, on the one hand, an object possesses relatively independent integrity which is larger than the sum of its parts. On the other hand, human cognition at an object displays gestalt tendency, i.e. human beings tend to regard it as a unity first. This theory is a great inspiration to translators. Before he translates a text, a translator forms an image gestalt of the whole original text, which ensures the guidance of the translator by the original text's directionality. In this way, the translator not only abides by the original text's directionality, but also actualizes flexible translation and creative translation so as to realize the function of the translated text.
