论大学英语教学中基础英语与专业英语的融合

摘　　要：基础英语和专业英语是学生在大学期间所学的两门课程,但目前在我国高校英语教学中两者"各自为政"。文章通过对两者关系的分析,指出在大学英语教学中将基础英语教学和专业英语教学相互渗透、相互融合,不仅有助于学生打好坚实的语言基础,而且有助于培养学生成为符合社会需求的复合型人才。然而,要实现两者间真正的渗透与融合,还需要一支高素质的外语教师队伍。Basic English and English for Special Purpose （ESP） are two major English courses for college students. At the moment, in higher learning institutions, these two English courses are taught separately. On the basis of the analysis of the relationship between these two English courses, the author points out that a- malgamation of basic English with ESP can not only help the students lay a solid language foundation, but also prepare the students to meet the demand of the society. To achieve the goal of the amalgamation of the two English courses, qualified foreign language teachers are vital.
