摘　　要：《珊瑚岛》是维多利亚时代的经典儿童小说。本文通过对小说《珊瑚岛》的后殖民解读,分析了海岛空间及土著人的他者化表征,审视了小说《珊瑚岛》对帝国之外空间的想象建构。帝国儿童的凝视凸显了帝国的文化与种族优越感,为帝国的海外扩张正言。The Coral Island is a Victorian classic for children.With a postcolonial reading of the novel,this paper tries to analyze the representation of overseas island space and the aboriginal people,and offer a deep insight into the imaginative construction of overseas space.The gaze of children from the Empire foregrounds the superiority of the Empire in culture and ethnicity,which further justifies the colonial expansion of the British Empire.
