CONSTRUCTING MOTIVATION BY USE OF INTERACTIVE APPROACHES AND TECHNIQUES IN THE EFL CLASSROOM

摘　　要：Motivation is one of the most important factors in successful language learning and to a large extent it is the teachers' responsibility to foster students' motivation. This paper reports on the adoption of interactive approaches and techniques in terms of their effectiveness for constructing motivation by turning extrinsic motivation into intrinsic motivation. The selection of the approaches and techniques was based on concepts of extrinsic motivation and intrinsic motivation, the analysis of a questionnaire and the hypothesis of the authors. The results show that adopting interactive approaches and techniques to construct motivation in the EFL classroom will lead to higher scores and other desirable outcomes from learning.动机是构成成功语言学习的重要因素之一。教师有责任激发学生的学习动机。本文作者回答了什么是教学路径及教学技巧。在内在动机和外在动机理论的基础上,提出了充分利用测试等带来的外在动机,采用交互式教学路径和教学技巧激发内在动机以提高学生学习成绩并带来其它的学习成果的假设。作者通过问卷调查了解学生的课外学习状况,发现问题并寻找有效的教学路径和教学技巧激发学生的学习动机。收集了学生的四级成绩和期末成绩加以分析对照。结果表明:学生成绩高于另外的班级,在学习过程中表现出态度积极,交际能力提升,自信心逐步增强,敢于冒险等品质。
