英语诗歌阅读与大学英语教学——以《新世纪大学英语综合教程》为例

摘　　要：大学英语课程不能局限于传授阅读技巧和分析文本的方法,更重要的是要培养学生对于阅读本身的爱好。英语诗歌以其特有的形式和语言特点对大学英语阅读起着重要作用。文章以《新世纪大学英语综合教程》为例,分析和论述英语诗歌阅读在大学英语一般要求教学中的作用和阅读策略。College English course should not be merely confined in teaching the students some reading skills and methods of analyzing the texts. What＇s more important is to cultivate the reading interest of the students. English poetry, as a unique language form, plays an important role in college English reading. This paper tends to make an analysis of the functions and the strategies of poetry reading in College English course based on the text book Zooming In： An Integrated English Course.
