网络外语自主学习中心的应用研究——以韩山师范学院外语系英语视听自主学习实践为例

摘　　要：培养学生的自主学习能力是当今英语教学改革的方向之一,而自主学习中心的建立无疑是推动这一改革的利器。韩山师范学院外语系根据学生听力水平不高且差异较大的特点,积极筹建外语自主学习中心,提供丰富的英语视听资源及配备相关专职人员,并对入学新生开展了为期一年的英语视听自主学习训练。通过对若干次测试成绩的统计分析表明,所开展的自主学习活动确实能显著提高学生的英语听力水平。The cultivation of students＇ self-learning ability is one of the key areas of English teaching reform. And the establishment of self-access center is an efficient instrument to impel this process. In our department, the average level of students＇ English listening ability is not high and there are also great disparities among them. Thus, a self-access language learning （SALL） center was established with abundant English video-audio resources provided and various personnel allocated. Then, a one-year training program of English viewing and listening based on the SALL center was carried out among the freshmen. With the statistical analysis of results from several tests, the self-learning activities organized can dramatically improve students＇ English listening ability.
