摘　　要：从宏观和微观两个层面对当前我国高校外语教学文化育人功能缺失的现状进行了探因,提出高校外语教学要把单一机械的传统教育转变成丰富而有创造性的文化熏陶。外语教学需要实现的是双向的交流——做合格的世界公民,并且要弘扬本国的优秀传统文化,这是外语教学文化育人功能的本质体现。This paper deals with ineffective situation of cultural educating function in foreign language teaching from the macro and micro levels. The Foreign language teaching should convert the monotonous and conventional teaching into a more varied and creative cultural nurture. What we need is mutual communication--to be qualified world citizens and promote Chinese traditional culture, which is the nature of cultural educating function of foreign language teaching.
