摘 要:形态学是理论语言学的重要分支之一,它与第二语言学习及研究的关系密切而复杂,可以说两者相互影响,相互促进。文章以英语为例,阐述形态学研究在第二语言学习中的作用,主要是它在语音学习、词汇学习、语言理解和语言产出中的作用,并简要指出形态学对第二语言研究的启示。The relationship between morphology and second language learning is manifold and complicated.Taking ESL learning as an example,this paper is meant to examine the potential contributions of morphology or morphological research to second language learning,aiming to shed some light on the role of morphology in second language learning by establishing connections between seemingly theoretical research in morphology and second language learning.On the one hand,the efficiency of second language learning can be greatly enhanced by turning to the findings of morphological research;on the other hand,advances in morphological study can promote the development of second language research per se such as vocabulary acquisition research,etc.,which will be discussed briefly.
