摘　　要：关联理论主要强调了对翻译过程的研究,尤其注重以关联原则性处理翻译问题的本质特征和语言交际的话语解释标准。从关联理论的视角来探讨汉英格言的翻译,可以使我们通过理论联系实际能够更好地把握翻译过程中的正确性和标准性,从而进一步提高翻译的质量。本文在概述关联理论核心内容的基础上,分析了关联理论与翻译方法的关系,着重阐明了关联理论对汉英格言翻译实践的指导作用,并结合例证探讨汉英格言的不同译法。Relevance theory mainly emphasizes the study of translation process and pays special attention to the essence and criterion of translation and communication by the relevance principle. Discussing the translation of Chinese-English Geyan from the perspective of relevance theory enables us to do a better and more accurate translation, apply the theory into practice, and enhance its quality con- sequently. This thesis focuses on the theoretical core and functional guidance in different Chinese-English Geyan translation ways ac- cording to relevance theory.
