英语名转动词的系统功能语法阐释

摘　　要：文章主要运用系统功能语法理论,讨论了名转动这一语言现象的深层机理:名词转用作动词在词汇语法层次上的形式转变,必然有语义层次为其提供功能基础,即环境或参与者成分进入过程;而其动因就是及物系统内部各功能之间的隐喻,以及这种隐喻在词汇语法层上的体现。此外文章还讨论了名词转用为动词的能力。The process of the conversion from a noun to a verb is called in this paper the N-V shift. Mainly based on the theoretical frame of systemic functional grammar,we analyze N-V shift on each stratum,that is,the intrusion of circumstance or participant to process on semantic stratum,and its realization on lexico-grammatic stratum,which is essentially grammatical metaphor across transitivity functions. In addition to the motivation behind the N-V shift,we briefly discuss the possibility of conversion.
