摘　　要：大学英语课程教学是高等教育的一个有机组成部分,进入新世纪,我国的大学英语教学正面临着一个新的起点和目标,传统的教学模式已经不能适应新形势发展的需要。文章主要介绍了目前高校英语教学的现状和存在的问题,从教师和学生的角度出发,梳理了这些问题存在的原因,并从利用情感教学、设置特定的语言环境、采用先进的教学手段等方面探讨了教学过程中新的教学方法和教学模式。Entering the new century,college English teaching in our country is facing a new starting point and aim,the traditional teaching model cannot adapt the development of the new situation.This paper introduces the present situation and existing problems in the college teaching.It also analyses the reasons of the problems from the perspective of the students and teachers.It discusses some new teaching models and methods such as affective education and language context and advanced teaching methods.
