摘　　要：自主学习既是一种学习态度,又是一种学习能力。自主性学习的特点是学习者自由、独立、个性的学习。根据不同的教学实际情况、教学对象,自主学习能力涵盖的内容有所不同。对于工科院校,自主学习能力的培养不仅是改变大学英语学习和教学现状的必要途径,也是适合理工科学生特点,发挥学生爱动手,重实践能力的实现途径。Autonomous learning is a kind of learning attitude and the ability of learning independently. The characteristics of autonomous learning are that the learners can learn autonomously, independently and individually. The autonomous learning abilities base on different cases and different teaching targets. For the students of institutes of technology, the cultivating of the autonomous learning ability is not only the necessary access to the reform of the college English teaching and the change of the current teaching situation, but also develops students＇practising abilities.
