摘　　要：以基础英语课程教学为例,探讨教师如何通过转变思想观念,做导师型的教师,培养英语专业低年级学生自主学习意识;采取积极合理的措施训练学生自主学习能力;创造愉悦课堂环境,激发自主学习动机;构建"以学生为主体"的教学模式,促进学生自主学习能力。Taking the teaching of Basic English course as an example, the paper discusses the theoretical bases and actual practice of promoting junior English majors＇ autonomous learning capacity. The teacher should act as a tutor to enhance the student＇s consciousness of autonomous learning and take active and proper steps to train the student＇s autonomous learning. Pleasant and relaxing classroom atmosphere should be created to motivate autonomous learning. And student-oriented teaching mode should be conducted in class to develop students＇ autonomous learning ability
