摘　　要：语言是文化的载体,两者密切相关,语言使用的同时往往受到文化的制约。对比学习中西文化,可以发现两种富含内涵的象征物分别起着重要的作用,它们就是东方的桃子和西方的苹果,由此衍生出来的词汇使用非常灵活,给翻译这些词语也带来了难题。本文从这两种水果的文化意象在各自文化领域的来源着手,探讨神话传说、语言词汇和风俗习惯方面文化内涵的异同及原因,进而探索翻译中文化意象错位的现象以及翻译对策。Apple and peach play important roles in the plant culture of Chinese and Euramerican countries in that a large variety of expressions derived from them can be found.Exploration to the similarities and differences of apple culture and peach culture from the myth and legend,customs,diction and translation is presented in the thesis.The authors point out that there should be flexible strategies in rendering the culture-loaded expressions to meet the need of the target language readers.
