Objective To investigate the relationship between reading, learning, education degree and memory disorders of older cerebral infarction patients, seeking some methods to reduce the incidence of memory disorders in patients with cerebral infarction, and lessen the severity of the memory disorders. Methods 140 cases diagnosed as cerebral infarction from Hebei United University affiliated hospital were randomly collected. They were tested with Rivermead behavior memory test version 2(RBMT-Ⅱ).Then their education degree, learning, reading and other basic information were collected. Results The incidence of memory disorders was 94.29%,and different reading and learning frequency in patients had different memory disorders,a statistically significant difference(P0.01).Memory disorders rate of patients with junior high school and above education was only 90.48%,significantly better than that in illiteracy, and primary school education group,a statistically significant difference(P0.01).Conclusion Higher education degree and reading and learning habits have a protection on the memory function of cerebral infarction patients,so the elder patients should be encouraged todo moderate reading learning.
