摘 要:道歉是语用学者们研究言语行为的重点对象之一,但过去他们往往只侧重道歉这一单一维度,对道歉策略进行了相对充分的研究,而忽略了对道歉回应策略的研究。本实证性研究通过详细分析从角色扮演收集而来的口语数据,一方面对前人所做道歉策略予以补正,另一方面对回应道歉策略予以命名和归类,以此对话语中的道歉和道歉回应作出较为现实、均衡的描述,从而阐明人类生活日常交际的互动本质。Apology as a speech act has been one of the important research topics in pragmatics.The researchers used to put emphasis only on apologizing with a lot of studies on apologizing strategies,but responses to apologies as an area of study have been unfortunately neglected.The findings of this study are based on a detailed analysis of the spoken data elicited by role plays.On the one hand,this empirical study has revised some already-identified apologizing strategies in the former relevant studies and explored a new apologizing strategy.On the other hand,it has named and classified the responding strategies to apologies employed by both British and Chinese interlocutors.Thus,the research has delineated a more balanced and realistic picture between apologizing and responding to apologies in discourse,and shed some light on the dynamic nature of daily communication in human life.
