埃塞俄比亚高职学生英语能力水平状况调查研究

摘　　要：采用问卷和访谈方法,调查了埃塞-中国职业技术学院的147名学生和9名教师,以考察埃塞俄比亚高职学生在听、说、读、写和综合能力等4个方面的英语能力状况,旨在为中国援外人员能够有的放矢地运用英语向埃塞学生传授知识和技能提供借鉴。结果表明:埃塞俄比亚学生具备较好的英语听说和阅读能力,但写作能力较差;不同性别的学生在英语能力方面不存在显著性差异;教师对学生的英语能力评价明显高于学生本人。The paper investigated 147 students and 9 teachers from Ethio-China Polytechnic College by employing questionnaires and interviews as research instruments to examine the English proficiency of Ethiopian polytechnic TVET students in speaking,listening,reading and writing.It was found that Ethiopian TVET students have sound competence to communicate with English but lack skills to write correct English.There is no significant difference between male and female students in English proficiency.Besides,the teachers think more highly of the students′ comprehensive English competence than students themselves.
