摘  要:"英语教学数理化"和"数理化式英语教学"是两种截然不同的教学方法,前者指在英语教学中辩证运用数学思维及其思想方法来提高英语教学的效率,体现文理学科间的正相关;后者指在英语教学中套用数理化式的应试题海战术,文理学科间的负相关导致禁锢学生语言能力的发展,阻碍交际能力的培养。"Applying Mathematical Thinking to English Teaching" and "Teaching English like Mathematics,Physics and Chemistry" are two teaching methods different as chalk and cheese. The former refers to the dialectical application of mathematical thinking,thoughts and methods to teaching English to improve the efficiency of English teaching,which reflects the positive correlation between arts and sciences, while the latter refers to the mechanical use of exam-oriented and exercise-stuffed teaching method generally practised to teach mathematics, physics and chemistry, which can indicate the negative correlation between arts and sciences and only result in the poor language development and poor communicative competence.
