高等中医药院校实行英语四级机考的可行性和对策分析

摘  要:以北京中医药大学为例分析高等中医药院校实行四级机考的可行性,提出具有中医院校特色的对策。通过对四级机考和四级笔试的对比来分析高等中医药院校教师和学生所面临的挑战,并采用访谈和调查问卷的方法调查北京中医药大学的软硬件配备、英语教师对网络教学的态度和网络授课情况以及学生对四级机考的态度和计算机使用情况,研究高等中医药院校实行四级机考的可行性。研究表明:高等中医药院校应进一步加大对软硬件的投入和推行分科英语教学;教师应该在调整教学内容和模式的同时帮助学校建设具有中医特色的英语机考试题库;学生应该熟悉机考题型、提高计算机能力和自主学习能力。The paper analyzes the feasibility and strategies of implementing Internet-based College English Test Band 4 (IB-CET4) in TCM colleges and universities based on the case study of Beijing University of Chinese Medicine (BUCM). The paper compares IB-CET4 and traditional written examination of CET4, analyzes the challenges faced by TCM colleges and universities, teachers and students. BUCM is used as a case to study the feasibility of the implementation of IB-CET4 in TCM colleges and universities. Software and hardware equipment, attitudes of English teachers towards network-based college English teaching and their implementation of this teaching method, and attitudes of students towards IB:-CET4 and their use of computer in BUCM were investigated through the methods of interviews and questionnaires. The study finds out that TCM colleges and universities shouid increase the investment in the software and hardware equipment and implement discipline-based English teaching. Teachers should improve the content and the mode of English teaching, and at the same time, they should also help the university to construct the Chinese medicine characteristic question database of IB-CET4. Students should be familiar with question types of IB-CET4, improve their computer skills and their competence of autonomous learning.
