摘  要:论述了英语阅读中元认知的特点以及元认知与英语阅读能力的相关性。进而提出了在英语阅读教学中教师应从元认知的视角对学习者实施系统的元认知策略培训的观点,帮助学习者制定合理学习目标,监控阅读理解过程,阅读后学会实施自我评价,从而养成科学有效的英语阅读方法,提高英语阅读学习效率。Firstly,the paper discusses the characteristics of metacognition in English reading and the correlation between metacognition and English reading capability.Then,the point of view is put forward that in English reading teaching teachers should cultivate the learners' metacognitive strategies bases on metacognitive theory.Teachers should help English learners to make reasonable plans,monitor their reading comprehension process and learn to evaluate their performance in English reading after the reading process is finished in order to develop effective English reading methods and improve their English reading efficiency.
