摘　　要：CPBI是一种以问题为导向,以内容为依托,以协作学习为方法,以交际能力、批判思维能力和人格发展为目标的英语素质教育模式。基于MSI机构Peter Hsu教授的商务伦理案例课"Fire Her or Not?"的观察实录与思考,简要介绍CPBI的理论基础、设计原则与实施过程以及对高校英语教学的启示。The CPBI model, a whole - person language teaching model, promotes collaborative problem - oriented instruction for content, communication, critical thinking and character - development. Based on the observation notes and reflections of course design and demonstration of CPBI by Prof. Peter Hsu from MSI in his Business Ethics Case Instruction ＂Fire Her or Not？＂, its rationale, course design principles and approaches to its classroom application are briefly dealt with so as to share the enlightenment on its application with college English courses.
