摘 要:当前,社会上日益强调学生的英语听说能力,强调学以致用,语法翻译法因其局限性而显得不能完全适应大学英语听说课堂的需要。口译法继承了语法翻译法表达简洁明了、信息传递快速等优点,与听说课堂交际活动融为一体;无论是学生自发的课堂口译行为或者教师有意组织的口译训练活动,都为促进学生更好地参与课堂活动,全面提高听说实践能力起到了重要的作用。As college students' practical listening and speaking skills are more emphasized, the grammar translation approach is no longer suitable for college English listening and speaking class because of its many limits. By inheriting the advantages of the grammar translation method, such as explicit explanation and direct output of information, the interpretation approach, on the other hand, is integrated into the communicative activities in the listening and speaking class. It helps students better participate in class activities and improve their overall practical skills through either spontaneous interpretation activities among them or well organized interpretation exercises bv English teachers.
