摘　　要：施韦泽作为"最能代表西方文化的知识和道德传统的最高成就的人"之一,其"敬畏生命"思想的基本内涵为:人生观的道德个人主义、文化观的文化伦理主义、世界观的生命自然哲学、对中国思想伟大功绩的明确定位。在"敬畏生命"思想已经在我国发生广泛影响之后,深入阐发和把握其基本内涵,有助于人们进一步理解其时代意义。The basic connotation of 'Reference to life' by Albert Schweitzer,who is one of 'the greatest representatives of the intellectual and moral tradition of Western culture',is: the moral individualism of life view,the cultural ethics of cultural view,the natural philosophy of world view and the definite orientation of the great achievements of Chinese thoughts.With the occurrence of the extensive influence of 'Reference to life' in China,a close interpretation and understanding of its basic connotation will help people to comprehend its time significance further.
