摘　　要：精品课程建设是高等学校教学质量与教学改革工程的重要组成部分,西南石油大学"矿物岩石学"课程历经校级和省级精品课程建设两个周期,在师资队伍建设、课程体系建设、配套教材建设、人才培养模式探索和教学方法改革诸方面取得一些成绩,探索出适应现阶段石油院校地质基础课程教学的新途径,并在实际教学中获得良好的教学效果。Excellent courses construction is an important part of the higher school teaching quality and teaching reform project, excellent courses construction not only helps to enhance the training quality, improve the educational environment but also to promote teachers＇ business level and responsibility of teaching sense. After two stages of school-level and provincial-level quality courses construction, the mineralogy and petrology courses of Southwest Petroleum University makes some achievements in the construction of the teaching staff, the curriculum system construction, the necessary teaching material construction and talent cultivation mode of teaching method and reform, exploring new ways of teaching that adapt to the present oil geological foundation course of colleges and universities and making a good teaching effect in actual teaching.
