摘　　要：新中国成立以来,西北少数民族教育取得了举世瞩目的成果,教育投资不断增加、教育规模不断扩大,学生数量不断增多,教育体系逐渐完善,为民族地区经济社会发展和人口素质的提升发挥了非常重要的作用。尤其是在现代教育的发展中,基础教育、高等教育、成人教育、职业教育等各自取得了独特而显著的成效,为民族教育未来的发展打下了坚实的基础。根据西北少数民族教育发展的现状,以《国家中长期教育改革和发展规划纲要(2010-2020年)》为指导,未来10年中,西北少数民族地区的教育将会有一个更加科学有效、富有特色的发展阶段。Since the founding of the People＇s Republic of China,northwest ethnic education has made such world-known achievements as the investment increase in education;the widening of the education scope;the enlargement of the student population,and the perfection of education system.Northwest ethnic education played a very important role in the economic and social development and the improvement of the population quality in Northwest China.Particularly,with the development of modern education,fundamental education,higher education,adult education,and vocational education,all made unique and evident achievements,laying a solid foundation on the future development of ethnic education.Based on the status quo of northwest ethnic education,and guided by the＂A Middle and Long-term（2010-2020）Syllabus for China＇s Education Reform and Development,＂in the next ten years,northwest ethnic education will enjoy a more scientific,effective stage of development with its own characteristics.
