摘　　要：英语专业精读课是英语专业基础阶段的主干课程,旨在指导学生在英语的听说读写译方面打下坚实基础。鉴于目前高校英语专业低年级学生中普遍存在翻译水平不高的情况,教师在课时最多的精读教学中引入翻译理论和技巧的讲授不仅符合语言学习规律,推动各项技能相互促进,也有助于高年级翻译课的顺利开展,从而提高学生实际运用语言的能力。The intensive reading,aiming to prepare the students＇ solid foundation of their listening,speaking,reading,writing and translation,is a main course for English majors.In view of the low level of the junior students＇ translation of English ma-jors,we teachers should introduce the theory and techniques of translation in the intensive reading,which is in accord with the rules of language learning,helps to promote other language skills and future learning in senior years,thus improving the students＇ ability of language application.
