摘　　要：2012年6月4日,"留学生、现代性与资本语境"学术研讨会在中国社会科学院外国文学研究所召开,来自各高校及研究机构不同学科的10位学者从各自的角度出发,将对留学生、现代性与资本语境等问题的讨论置于多向度的勾连中,在就三个会议主题的跨学科对话中提出了文化与文明的多维度阐释、留学史研究向中学史、小学史的下移、士阶层转型与东方现代性等具有学术生长点的学术命题,以及如何拓宽学术视野以关注当代留学史,如何增进对文化之间关系的注意,如何深入对于元命题的思考,如何辨析体用关系等值得进一步拓展的研究空间。On June 4th, 2012, the Conference of Overseas Students, Modernity and Context of Capital was held in the Institute of Foreign Literature, The Chinese Academy of Social Sciences （CASS）. In this interdisciplinary dialogue about Overseas Students, Modernity and Context of Capital, ten scholars from different disciplines and academic institutions formulated their own theoretical opinions on the three confer- ence themes. They proposed some topics deserving future research, including multi--dimensional interpre- tation of culture and civilization, turning towards history of elementary school and high school in research on history of studying abroad, transition of bachelor stratum and oriental modernity; they also discussed some issues requiring more attention from researchers, including how to pay close attention to contemporary history of studying abroad in a wider academic horizon, how to pay more attention to the relations be tween cultures, how to think deeply about meta-theories and how to differentiate and analyze relation be tween system and function.
