十七世纪来华耶稣会士对儒学概念的译介——以“天”的翻译为例

摘　　要：十六、十七世纪来华耶稣会士的"四书"西译活动实为"儒学西传"的源头,其译文直接奠定了欧洲启蒙思想家对于儒家思想的理解。在《中国哲学家孔子》一书里,"天"这一儒学概念在跨文化译介过程中,其"名"与"实"在语境更迭中出现了分离断裂,继而由译者凭借自身的神学知识及价值取向重新进行人为设定,原文与译词表面一一对应的背后掩盖的是中西异质文化之下不同的天人观。结合"礼仪之争"的历史背景,亦可从译文中切实了解到耶稣会士对于中国文化的理解以及他们如何为自己采取宽容适应儒家文化的传教政策进行辩护。Based on perusing the Latin translation of Confucian concepts in Confucius Sinarum Philosophus(1687,Paris),especially using ‘Tian’ as an ensample,the anthor tries to analyze the Oriental and Occidental cultural element which is infiltrated into the translating and diffusing process of this Latin translation,and also tries to illuminate the intention and the translation strategy of the Jesuits.In virtue of this Latin book we can have a better cognizance of the missionaries’ understanding about Confucian thought and the concrete reception of European readers in the 17th century,which was intensively influenced by the Jesuits ’ translating activity.
