摘　　要：北京林业大学校训的英译反映了隐喻汉英翻译中存在的难题,这一难题的解决可以从汉英表达形式转换和中西隐喻思维接通的角度找到突破口。文化喻体的直译和文化内涵的传递有助于传播优秀的中国文化。The transition of school motto of Beijing Forestry University reflects the problem in metaphor translation between Chinese and English . The breakthrough of solving these problems can be found in the conversion of expression from Chinese into English and the connection of Sino - western metaphorical thinking mode. The literal translation of cultural metaphor and the communication of its connotation contribute to the dissemination of good Chinese culture.
