摘　　要：元认知能力是自主学习能力形成的重要方面。在高职英语多媒体课堂教学中,教师应该把培养学生的元认知能力纳入自己的教学目标,在教学中不断渗透元认知知识,提高学生的自主学习能力,使他们成为真正意义上成功的语言学习者。Metacognitive ability is the key part to cultivate the in- dependent learning ability. During the multi-media English teaching process in higher vocational college, it is necessary for teachers to train the learners＇ cognitive ability in order to reach the teaching aim so as to help the learners improve their inde- pendem learning ability and make them become more successful in learning English.
