摘  要:图式理论应用到英语阅读教学中,能使学习者进行积极的阅读思维活动,充分利用头脑中的图式进行预测,在阅读中证实并修订最初的预测,提高英语阅读效率。本文从图式理论入手,探讨了如何在英语阅读教学中建构图式,以提高阅读的效率。Schema is an abstract knowledge structure stored in the memory. In process of learning new knowledge, it is necessary to combine new knowledge with previously acquired knowledge to promote a good command of new knowledge. When Schema Theory is applied in English reading teaching, students are encouraged to conduct positive reading activities and make full use of schema to predict and revise. At the beginning of this paper Schema Theory is briefly introduced. Then the paper focuses on how to build schema in English reading teaching to help students read effectively.
