摘 要:对If条件句的分析,学者们主要从逻辑、句法、语义、语用等角度来研究。本文试图从图形-背景理论视角对不同种类的If条件句及其特点,形式和意义之间的相互关系进行分析,进而揭示If条件句的从句与主句之间呈现一种不对称关系,而且这种不对称关系不仅反映了真实世界中事件的发生,也反映了人们的体验、认知和思维过程。For if-conditionals,many scholars study this linguistic phenomenon from the perspective of logic,syntax,semantics and pragmatics.This paper attempts to study and analyze different kinds of if-conditionals and their characteristics,the correlation between their form and meaning based on the figure-ground theory.Furthermore,this study proves that there exists an asymmetric relation between if-clause and main clause.This kind of relation reflects not only the occurrence of events in real world but also cognitive and thinking process of human beings.
