摘　　要：本文通过浅析英语习语理论的研究概况,揭示习语的特点,进一步引出英语习语翻译的实践问题,最后得出结论:英语习语是英语语言学的精髓,不断发展完善英语习语翻译理论,探讨英语习语翻译实践的问题,对提高我们每个翻译工作者的整体翻译水平和能力至关重要。Through the study on the theory of English idiom translation,the author illustrates the features of idiom translation, further poses the practice of idiom translation and comes to the conclusion in the end：as the soul of English linguistics, developing, completing the theory of English idiom translation and exploring the study on the practice of idiom translation are of the utmost importance for every translator to improve his overall translation skill and competence.
