摘　　要：本文以《Practical Lexicography》里关于单语词典的释义模式为探讨蓝本,从使用者角度入手,浅议该书阐述的单语词典里主要释义模式,并指出已知释义模式对未来释义模式的启示。In this essay, we will discuss definitions in monolin gual dictionary in ＂Practical Lexicography＂ from the perspective of the users. The author elaborated the three main types of definition and then gave some enlightenment for future model of definition in dictionary.
