摘　　要：英汉谚语在语言运用上注重声音的表达效果、词语的精选、语言的形象以及句式的搭配。本文从英汉谚语的音韵声律美、简洁凝炼美、形象生动美等方面对比了英汉谚语在修辞方面的一些差异和特点,并从美学方面分析了英汉谚语各自体现出的民族特色和艺术特点。English and Chinese proverbs attach great importance to the sound effect, word selec-tion, language image and pattern matching. This article analyzes some rhetoric differences and charac-teristics between the English and Chinese proverbs from the viewpoint of rhythm beauty, concise beauty and vivid beauty. It also analyzes the ethnic characteristics and artistic characteristics reflected by proverbs from the point of aesthetics.
