摘　　要：本文基于对鄂菜菜肴进行翻译的一点体会,着重研究鄂菜的英译,结合翻译实例将翻译中式菜肴的一些有效方法介绍给读者,以资参考。鄂菜极具包容性,吸收了南北风味之长,既讲究原料,也讲究造型,同时运用了中式菜肴的各种基本烹饪方法,能很好地体现中式菜肴的特点,对菜名进行准确合适的英译有利于推广中国饮食文化。Based on the experience of translating Hubei dishes into English,this paper will introduce some effective methods of translating Chinese dishes.Hubei cuisine is very inclusive,and it combines the merits of most Chinese cuisine.It emphasizes raw materials,shape and cooking methods,thus reflects the characteristics of Chinese cuisine very vividly.Translating Chinese dishes into English properly helps promote the Chinese dietary culture.
