摘　　要：2012年美国教育传播与技术协会(AECT)国际年会,10月31日至11月3日在美国肯塔基州的路易威尔市召开,来自世界各地的学者、专家900多人参会。年会在"在全球一体化的时代里学习"这一主题下,共为参会者提供了628场不同主题发言以及学习交流和研讨机会。本届年会通过大会的主题演讲、主席专场报告、分会论坛发言、圆桌专题论坛和论文等形式,涉及与展示了全球化学习、研究方法、创造性、新型媒体、移动技术等诸方面的研究进展与变化,充分体现了教育技术蓬勃发展的态势。The 2012 annual international convention of Association of Educational Communications and Technology （AECT） was held during October 31th to November 3rd 2012 in louisville, Kentucky, USA, with more than 900 participants from all over the world. The AECT 2012 convention was organized around the theme of“Learning in the age of globalization”with three keynote speeches and 628 sessions in various formats. This paper highlights the key themes of learning design and technology field that are revealed during the AECT 2012 International Convention. The paper also summarizes the AECT 2012 including conference theme, keynote speeches, presidential presentations and sessions, and presentations by AECT divisions and affiliations. Authors of this paper also comment and reflect on the conference theme, issues, challenges and opportunities in terms of learning and globalization, research methodology, creativity, new media, and mobile technology from perspectives as researchers, educators, and conference participants.
