摘　　要：约翰.邓恩因天主教背景而受抑,虽求学顺利但难获学位,入仕途无门,婚姻虽然美满,但叛教之痛在其内心留下了终生阴影。他把诗歌作为宣泄其内心情感的工具,将诗歌作为其表达不同心境下不同爱的途径。他人生经历的影响都在其诗歌中有着或显或隐的体现,因此通过对其诗歌的研究也可窥见诗人心灵与思想的变化。邓恩的爱可以分为三种或三个阶段。每一阶段都有其鲜明的特征和时代烙印,内涵丰富,表达独特,极富魅力。The misfortune of a poet always led to the splendour of his poetry. John Donne was one of these cases. Throughout of his life, Donne was largely suppressed because of his Catholic faith. He was accomplished but could not be granted the academic degree or a secular position in the society. Although his marriage was an enjoyable, the guilt of betraying his original religion had left a life-long mark on his heart. Donne not only used poetry as the media to let off the innermost feel- ings, but also expressed his desire of approaches to love in diverse moods. As the life experiences have either visible or invisible embodiments in his poems, one can get a glimpse of these changes in his spiritual and inner world by studying his poems produced during different periods. It was divided into three stages, each of which bearing its characteristics and historical mark as well as the incomparable charm and unique expression with the rich content.
