西南联大对道德本位的“大学之道”抉择——基于中国大学发展的历史视角

摘　　要："大学"是一个历史性范畴,在不同的历史文化语境中,"大学"具有不同的内涵特征。适应于中国古代礼乐社会文化背景的中国古代大学,从教育对象、教育目的和教育层次上区别于"小学"而存在,具有明显人伦色彩。与西方大学突出"求真"与"自由"的文化理念不同,中国大学突出的道德本位色彩强调通过教育达到"修齐治平"的最高境界,深刻影响了中国现代大学的文化理念和终极追求。在中西合璧的现代大学文化理念探索过程中,西南联大在吸取西方大学文化理念的基础上,始终坚守对中国传统道德本位"大学之道"的自觉文化抉择,是它在中国教育史上取得巨大成就的重要原因之一。University＂ is a historical category. It has a different connotation and culture feature in different specific historical and cultural context. Chinese ancient university, which was horn in and adapt to the cultural backgrounds of ethical society in Chinese ancient times, has significant ethical characteristics. And, it is different from the primary school on the educational ob- ject, educational purpose and educational level. The Chinese university emphasizes the supreme moral vales of ＂cultivating body and mind; administrating family; governing country and achieving the ideal of Great Harmony＂ because itg unique characteristics of ethics, which is different from the cultural philosophy western university, as the characteristic of ＂the truth＂ and＂ freedom＂. With the process of exploring the cultural ideas of ＂university＂ in the communication of Chinese and Western culture, as an rep- resentative of Chinese modem university, the National South - West Associated University always adhered to the conscious culture choice of the cultural philosophy of ＂Da Xue＂ from Chinese traditional society, on the base of absorbing the cultural philosophy of western university, which is one of important reasons why the National South - West Associated University has made great a- chievements in Chinese educational history.
