摘　　要：针对工程类专业英语教学的专业背景,探讨情景教学方法在教学中的作用,分析专业知识和专业工作情景与教学的关系,重点研究建筑工程和水利工程专业英语的专业背景和教学情景的运用,提出专业情景下的专业单词学习方法、基于专业任务下的专业英语教学方法、阅读和翻译专业最新发展的英文资料等教学方法,并通过事例来说明。The professional background of engineering professional English teaching is concerned to discuss the function of situational teaching method. The relation between professional knowledge, professional work situation and teaching has been analyzed. The applications of hydraulic engineering and situational teaching method have been studied. The method of learning professional vocabulary under professional background is proposed as well as the method of teaching English based on professional tasks or reading and translating the latest English material, which are explained by examples.
