摘　　要：从经济和教育两个不同的角度对知识经济进行考察，既可加深对知识经济特征及其发展历程的充分了解，又可全面认识教育尤其是高等教育在知识经济时代的地位和作用．Knowledge economy should be observed and studied in terms of economy and education respectively, from which the features of knowledge economy and its development can be better understood. The education, in particular the education of higher learning, and its role in the knowledge economy age can be fully comprehended.
