摘 要:自萨丕尔-沃尔夫假说被提出后,语言与思维的关系就一直受到学界热议,对"假说"的争议颇多。自上世纪90年代人们对"假说"进行了重新解读,提出了新的认识,进入了"新沃尔夫主义"时期。新的认识支持"假说"关于语言范畴影响思维范畴的理论,认为使用不同语言的人的概念框架是各不相同的,并因此影响他们的思维模式。而我们通过对英汉情感概念隐喻的对比研究,发现该概念隐喻化在英汉两种不同语言中表现出极大的相似性,表明在抽象概念隐喻化的背后存在某种共性的东西使人们具有相似的抽象思维,即体验——概念隐喻的哲学基础。根据体验哲学的观点可以推论出不同的语言并未影响不同的隐喻化思维。因此体验哲学理论为萨丕尔-沃尔夫假说提供了有力的否定佐证。Since the Sapir-Whorf Hypothesis was put forward,the issue of language and thought has been discussed heatedly.The Hypothesis has been redefined since 1990s,which supports the claim that language influences thought.While this article is intended to make a disapproval of the claim.By making a comparative study on the emotion metaphor between English and Chinese,this article finds there are great similarities in conceptual metaphorization between the two distinct languages,which reveals that there is something in common behind this Abstract conceptual metaphorization,which makes it possible for people to have similar Abstract thought.That is embodiment——the philosophical basis of conceptual metaphor,from which it can be inferred that it is thought that affects or determines language.Therefore,the theory of embodiment provides a negative support for the Sapir-Whorf Hypothesis.
