摘　　要：加德纳的多元智能理论开拓出了教育教学的新模式,为我国的英语教学改革提供了理论上的新支点。英语教师应分析多元智能理论在大学英语教学中的作用,结合实际教学材料,培养学生的多种能力,发挥其最大智能强项,继而有效地进行英语课堂教学实践。Gardner＇ s theory of multiple intelligences develops a new model for education and teaching and also provides a new theoretical fulcrum for the reform of English teaching in China. English teachers should analyze the function of multiple intelligences theory in college English teaching, cultivates students＇ multiple capacities and maximize their smart strengths by combining with practical teaching materials and then the effective practice of English teaching can be performed.
