摘　　要：培养学生自主学习能力既是教学目标也是教学手段,教师的有效指导和帮助是培养学生自主学习能力的重要保障。大学英语教学应突出语言实践性特点,教师指导学生开展大量课下语言输入和课上语言输出活动,并贯穿于教学始终,体现教学中学生的主体地位。Cultivating students＇ independent learning competence is not only the teaching goal,but teaching method,teachers＇ effective guidance and help is the important guarantee to cultivate students＇ autonomous learning ability.University English teaching should highlight the characteristic of language＇s practicality;teachers should guide students to carry out substantial language input activities after class and language output activities in class from beginning to end of teaching and embody the students＇ dominant status in teaching.
