摘　　要：目前,高校英语教师自我发展动力方面仍然存在很多问题,多数教师缺乏自我发展意识,不能发挥自身在发展中的主体性。同时,教材内容不更新、评职机制不合理及自我发展策略的缺乏,都是导致高校英语教师自我发展动力匮乏的原因。At present,there are still many problems in college English teachers＇ self development power;the majority of teachers are lack of self development consciousness,cannot give play to their subjectivity in the development.At the same time,teaching content is not updated,professional evaluation mechanism is unreasonable and self development strategy is insufficient,all these lead to the lack of college English teachers＇ self development power.
