摘　　要：继续教育学院是英国实施高等职业教育的主要场所,在人才培养过程中,坚持"学以致用"的原则,对英国经济社会的发展作出了积极贡献。新世纪以来,英国继续教育学院将学生所习得的职业知识和技能与区域产业需求紧密结合起来,同时兼顾学生的升学需求,呈现出职业教育与学历教育并举态势。借鉴英国的经验和做法,我国高等职业教育应重视培养学生的实践技能,发展本科及更高层次教育,注重与区域经济社会的协调发展,满足成人的教育需求。Further education college is the main place of implementing higher vocational education in the UK. It adheres to the principle of ＂studying for application＂ and has made great contributions to the economic and social development. After entering the new century, the FE colleges began to integrate vocational knowledge and skills students learned with regional industry needs, emphasize students＇ academic needs, promote vocational education and academic education simulta- neously. Referring the experience of UK, higher vocational education in China should pay attention to cultivate students＇ practical skills, try to serve for regional economy and develop the bachelor and more higher education levels.
